    2023 Events

    2023 started with a visit from two powerful lawyers from FFRF to discuss the legal and political landscapes of state and church separation and ended with an ethicist here to warn us about the pitfalls of the just world fallacy. And in between there were picnics, restaurant get-togethers, hikes, and tabling opportunities all year long.

    Our 2022 virtual program speakers covered topics as varied as Humanism, the myth of nonbelievers being inherently immoral, data about nonbelievers in the United States, atheism and bigotry, mindfulness, and visits from authors on their newest books on being atheist in a religious community and Christian Nationalism. And, of course, there were hikes, zoo and animal center visits, picnics, and tabling events for activism.

  • 2021 Lookback

    2021 Events

    The year of living virtually. Knowing a little more about what we were up against, we started back with virtual happy hours and virtual program meetings in 2021. After our membership had the chance to get vaccinated we scheduled in-person picnics and in-person (outdoor seating) Happy Heathen Hours. Program meetings remained virtual to avoid an indoor spreader event.

  • 2020 Events

    A short year (and also the longest year, but we digress) for events. We canceled our March event just two weeks before it was scheduled and then canceled the entire year’s events except for a virtual fund raiser for the Food Bank.
