Are you the black sheep of the family? Do you dread heading to Uncle Jack's place to hear about how terrible you are for being a godless humanist followed by a meal of desiccated turkey and the most boring stuffing ever created?
Well we can't do anything about that, but you can look forward to a meal with your found family of TFS heathens later that weekend. The turkey will be catered and the arguments will be philosophical (but maybe no less heated).
Building an inclusive humanist community in the Triangle through reason and compassion.
Triangle Freethought Society, a chapter of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, is a membership-based organization dedicated to building a humanist community for non-believers in the Triangle area of North Carolina. TFS also supports education, community service, and activism/advocacy on issues surrounding atheism, secularism, nonbelief, humanism, and skepticism.
In addition to being a chapter of the Freedom From Religion Foundation TFS is an affiliate of the American Humanist Association and American Atheists serving Durham, Orange, and Wake Counties and surrounding towns making up the Triangle region of North Carolina.
Join fellow freethinkers for a movie and dinner afterwards. Each attendee will be responsible for their tickets and food bill. Dates and times (and maybe locations) will vary from film to film.

Become a Member
Annual, sustaining, and lifetime membership dues support TFS and our community. Members enjoy free attendance to TFS programs and other public events, as well as exclusive activities for TFS members only. Only current members of both TFS and FFRF can vote in annual elections. Help us help you; we host more than events throughout the year because of your support.
Volunteer with TFS
Many humanists feel that to live fulfilling lives includes compassionately engagement in charitable and community improvement projects. When we leave religious organizations it may seem like those opportunities go away, but TFS organizes events throughout the year and you can always volunteer to lead TFS events and meetups!
Support Our Work
Your donations help sustain this group’s work. If you are not ready to join TFS but want to help support our mission to build community among nonbelievers in the Triangle, you can support us financially through a donation. And, of course, members are always welcome to make an extra donation as well.
