Triangle Freethought (TFS) is a chapter of the Freedom From Religion Foundation and an affiliate of American Atheists and the American Humanist Association. We have no official affiliation with the other organizations listed below and inclusion is not an endorsement. These links are for your convenience in locating organizations on the national level.

Freedom From Religion Foundation Logo

The Freedom From Religion Foundation engages in publishing books and pamphlets, in producing films and music, in awarding scholarships, and in conducting court challenges of violations of the separation between church and state. It works as an umbrella for those who are free from religion and are committed to the cherished principle of separation of state and church.

Freethought Society Logo

The Freethought Society advocates for the separation of religion and government and seeks to end negative stereotyping of the nontheist community as we promote critical thinking, education, and science appreciation.

The Temple of Apotheism is a religious philosophical organization. They seek to rationalize progressive science with the profound impact of spiritual awakening. Apotheism is the belief in the divinity of humanity, and the awakening of our own internal power. Apotheists do not rely on a higher being or the existence of a supernatural entity for divine assistance.

American Atheists Logo

American Atheists envisions a world in which public policy is made using the best evidence we have rather than religious dogma and where religious beliefs are no longer seen as an excuse for bigotry or cause to receive special treatment from the government. They fight for religious equality for all Americans by protecting what Thomas Jefferson called the “wall of separation” between state and church created by the First Amendment.

Black Nonbelievers Logo

Black Nonbelievers provides an informative, caring, festive and friendly community, and connects with other Blacks (and allies) who are living free of religion and might otherwise be shunned by family and friends. Instead of accepting dogma, BN believes truth and morality are determined through reason and evidence.
